SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND “DIVING IN GALAPAGOS”

ITINERARY 8 DAYS – 7 NIGHTS

You are met by our representative at the airport in Quito and provided transfers at the Hotel in Quito (45 minutes approx. from the airport to the hotel)

After breakfast, we will go back in time a couple of hundred years while driving around the colonial section of Quito and admire architectural monuments, la Basilica church, Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, and the colonial Churches. After, we will go to the “Middle of the World City,” where the monument that divides the Northern from the Southern Hemisphere stands. It was built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line. Or, the “Intiñan Museum”, known as the Equinox Solar Museum, you choose one. Overnight in Quito.

We will go to Papallacta Hot Springs. Papallacta is located on the Cinnamon Trail, the route that Francisco de Orellana, a Spanish conqueror took to discover the Amazon River. Upon arrival, we will take a short walk to recognize the flora and fauna of this native place. Papallacta Hot Springs has 8 pools of varying size and temperatures, warmed by geothermal energy. It is recommended to bring warm clothes, swimwear, rain protection, sunscreen, a hat, walking shoes, and an extra pair of socks.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will have the transfer to Quito airport to take the Galapagos flight.

Check-in at the hotel.

In the afternoon. Visit the Giant tortoises’ center. Check diving at Wreck Bay

After breakfast, visit Tijeretas Diving Tour Description (2 dives) and Caragua. (40 feet depth)

To see Sea turtles, sea lions, rays, and Caragua ship remains.

After breakfast, Visit Kicker Rock Galapagos. Diving Tour Description (2 dives) (depth 50 feet)

Get ready for 1 and a half hours of navigation towards your Kicker Rock Galapagos diving adventure. The day tour will have two diving immersions. The sites will be on the two opposite sides of the Kicker Rock lava formations. This is one of the most outstanding diving sites in the Galapagos.

To see Hammerhead sharks, Galápagos sharks, White tip Sharks, eagle rays, turtles, sea lions, etc.

Visit to Cerro Brujo beach.

Breakfast hotel. Visit the Interpretation Center and transfer to the airport. For your flight back to Quito. At the airport, you will meet with an Explorer Tour representative who will provide your transportation back to the hotel.

After breakfast, there will be transportation to the airport.
